At an elevation of appx 7,000 feet the deep blue sky looks so close and so clear. At night the stars light up the sky and you can actually see them. When the moon is full it looks so close you think you can reach out and touch it. We do have 4 seasons in Big Bear. In the fall, the leaves actually change colors. Winter is so beautiful when all the pine trees are covered with snow. Spring is just perfect. Summer is an escape from the heat of Southern California and the best time to enjoy the lake.
